Desert Beauty

Before visiting Las Vegas for the first time in 1997, I envisioned a land without color (especially green). Here's a neat page of thumbnail photos that show just how pretty the desert can be. Click on each photo to see it enlarged (so you can fully appreciate the vibrant colors).

Thanks for the photos that depict real color in the valley. I wasn't sure what I envisioned when I moved here in the fall of 1990. I do remember a friend mentioning how green the mountains were once the spring of '91 rolled around. I had to squint but I could see the "fuzz" she was talking about. That friend has now passed and every spring when I see the green fuzz on the mountains I think of her.
